What Blichmann has to say:
The BrewEasy™ is a revolutionary new ultra-compact and economical all grain brewing system. This patent pending system and process utilizes a two kettle recirculation infusion mash system called the Kettle-RIMS™ or K-RIMS™ process for short. This system is very simple to use and is a very approachable way to transition from extract brewing into all grain brewing. The BrewEasy™ provides all the simplicity of a brew-in-a-bag (BIAB) system, but eliminates the cloudy wort, messy lifting, and does so with much better efficiency!
What Annapolis Home Brew has to say:
Imagine the advantages of a heavy-duty Blichmann brewing system that's been designed for total ease of use. With the BrewEasy™ you're only dealing with 2 kettles, 1 burner, and 2 hoses. That means lower cost, faster setup, easier transport, quicker cleanup, and less storage space.
Blichmann is famous for great engineering & quality construction. The BrewEasy™ continues that tradition. Great attention has been paid to every detail without cutting corners. You won't encounter any haphazard plumbing or complex cleanup procedures to spoil your brew day. Blichmann has the expertise and the experience to build a system that's truly enjoyable to own and operate.
Compared to a 3-vessel RIMS system, these Kettle-RIMS™ systems sacrifice a little bit of efficiency. We believe that's perfectly fine since you're saving time, energy, money and effort... wwho cares about needing an extra pound or two of grain? There's absolutely no adverse effect on beer quality. In fact, more and more brewers are discovering a preference for the malty results of lower-efficiency no-sparge procedures.
Besides that small drop in efficiency the BrewEasy™ has all the advantages of RIMS brewing. You get fantastic mash temperature control, amazingly clear wort, and easy step mashing (which is good for ales & wheats but it makes killer lagers... you're gonna love your next Oktoberfest!)
