Bulk Malt Extract Briess Pale

Quality American malt extract by Briess. This extract has a nice light color without containing cheap adjunct sugars.  Briess Pale Extract is made from only grains and water.  It's great for making any light-colored recipe, such as American lagers, or German lagers, and also light-colored ales.

Bulk Malt Extract, Briess Dark

Boasts a rich flavor, full aroma, and deep dark color. In a 5 gallon batch, 1-2 pounds will add a lot of color, while 5-6 pounds will produce stout-type blackness.  Made from pale base malt, Munich malt, black malt, and a touch of 60ºL crystal malt.

Bulk Malt Extract Briess Wheat

For wheat beer, use 100% wheat malt extract.  Don't blend wheat and pale: wheat extract is already the proper proportion of wheat and barley.  Briess is 60% wheat / 40% barley. (pale=barley)  For other styles, use 1 pound to improve head retention.

"100% wheat malt extract" is always made from wheat and barley.  The proportion is what's important - it should be more than 50% wheat.
