Munton's Gold No-Boil Beer Kits

Imported from Great Britain. Munton's makes four different lines of no boil beer kits. (We don't sell their economy or standard kits, we sell only the best ones.)

Muntons GOLD are fantastic no-boil beer kits. The guys at Muntons completely revamped their brewing & canning process to make these kits.  We've actually served this beer to expert home brewers: they thought it was from an all-grain brew until we clued them in!  Nobody ever believes how easy it is to brew fantastic beer with these kits.

No-Boil kits include dried yeast, but you can choose to upgrade to a Wyeast live liquid yeast culture. Live yeast cultures make beer with better flavor and aroma.  Because these kits contain 6.6 pounds of malt, you don't need to add any additional malt. Each makes 5 U.S. gallons.

Here's some really important information: These no-boil kits should not be boiled. Some people will tell you that boiling is optional, or that boiling will make the kit better.  That's not true.  Anyone who tells you to boil a no-boil beer kit doesn't know what they're talking about, period.

These kits have already been fully boiled at the brewery. All you do is add water, pitch in yeast, and let it ferment. This is the way these kits are designed to be used. The manufacturer's blind taste tests have shown that if you re-boil them, it makes the beer a little bit worse, because you're over-boiling, destroying delicate hop and malt aromas, risking some off-flavors, and darkening the beer.

We brew No-Boil kits all the time, because we test every product we sell, and we fall in love with some of them!  It seems "too easy to be true," but without boiling these kits make fantastic beer.  And you're done brewing, clean-up and all, in 15 minutes!

Muntons Gold IPA

Supplying the troops with fresh beer in the British East Indies proved to be a problem. The long sea journey spoiled ordinary beers, so a special beer was brewed to survive the journey. India Pale Ale was brewed to a high alcoholic strength to keep bacteria at bay during the voyage. On arrival, the beer was "watered down" to normal pub strength for the troops. Officers, of course, had access to the non-diluted version, and began to demand it at home!
