Item #50400 Essential Accessory Kit For Winemaking
Our four best & most popular gadgets and accessories. Winemaking becomes faster, easier, and more fun! These devices should be part of every home winemaker's arsenal, you'll be glad to have them on hand. Here's what you get: The Amazing Mix-Stir: While your wine is in the glass secondary fermentor, you're required to stir it vigorously during one step of the process. This is important for clarifying the wine. But the mouth of a glass fermentor is so narrow that a spoon won't fit. Solution: the Mix-Stir! The Mix-Stir hooks to your cordless drill, and the collapsible blades fit into the glass fermentor. The Mix-Stir works so well that it actually improves the quality of your wine by increasing clarity and removing dissolved CO2. Plus, it's really fun to use! Auto-Siphon: You need to siphon whenever you rack (transfer) the beer into the secondary fermentor or the bottling bucket. The Auto Siphon is an improved version of the standard racking cane with an ingenious single-stroke siphon starter built in. Includes anti-sediment tip for clear transfers. Fermtech Thief: Ideal for taking quick and easy samples from your fermentor. It's indispensable for use with glass fermentors, because it fits through the small opening. Great for taking out a hydrometer sample. Carboy Cleaning Brush: A big long brush that's specially curved to clean the inside, and especially the difficult-to-reach inside top shoulder of your glass carboys.
Item #50500 Ultimate Accessory Kit For Winemaking Our nine best & most popular gadgets and accessories. Winemaking becomes faster, easier, and more fun! People often ask, "What do you guys use when you make wine?" because they know we've tried it all. Well, this is it - all the coolest gadgets we've fallen in love with, together in one package! Here's what you get: Bottling Bucket with Spigot: A bottling bucket makes bottle filling easier. Wine is siphoned from the fermentor or clarifying tank into the bottling bucket, leaving the sediment behind. Now you can stir in the final ingredients without making the wine cloudy again. The bottle filler (included in starter kit) can be attached to the spigot for easy on/off filling. Most people find this process easier than siphoning directly into each individual bottle. The Amazing Mix-Stir: While your wine is in the glass secondary fermentor, you're required to stir it vigorously during one step of the process. Bottle Drying Tree: Italian-made deluxe tree holds bottles upside-down to drip dry. This is particularly useful because the good no-rinse sanitizers do their work while drying. Holds almost any size bottle (every bottle we sell will fit.) Base pan catches drips. Looks cool and saves a lot of counter space! Vinator Bottle Sterilizer: Works alone or attaches to top of bottle tree. This is one of the most ingenious accessories we've ever used! Just mix up a little bit of sanitizer in the vinator's bowl, then press down with a bottle. The vinator squirts the solution up inside the bottle, sterilizing it in seconds! Now, hang your bottles on the tree to drain and dry. "Blast" Bottle/Carboy/Tubing Washer: Hooks to a faucet with garden-hose-type threads, like a laundry/utility sink. When you place a bottle, glass fermentor, or siphon hose on the blast washer, it sprays out a high-power jet of water. Great for rinsing debris from bottles before sterilizing them with the vinator! Also cleans sediment from fermentors and rinses out siphon tubes. Kitchen Faucet Adapter for "Blast" Washer: This adapter will let you hook the Blast to most kitchen faucets. This is not guaranteed to work with fancy shower-type sprayer faucets or filter-faucets. Carboy Cleaning Brush: A big long brush that's specially curved to clean the inside, and especially the difficult-to-reach inside top shoulder of your glass carboys.
