Style: Dark Wheat Beer
Our stronger version of Bavarian wheat beer features a low hop profile, a hazy mahogany color, medium-full body, spicy, bready aromas and flavors. The backbone of this beer style has more than 50% wheat on the grain bill as well as some chocolate and pilsner malts. Its name means "dark wheat," and that's just what it is. An dark version of a German hefeweizen, Dunkelweizen has the same spicy yeast and creamy wheat character of its pale counterpart, but with as much rich maltiness as a dark Bavarian lager.
Add this product to your cart in addition to your recipe kit if you would like the included dry yeast replaced with live yeast and an ice pack for a $5.00 surcharge.
