Style: German Munich-style Lager
Do you like European Imports like Beck's, Heineken, or Lowenbrau?
Our "Tuckahoe Helles" recipe is a German-style lager with an easy-drinking, clean malt flavor, light golden color, and light body. This beer style has more flavor compared to the popular American pilsners. Hop flavor and bitterness are medium to low. This recipe is lighter colored, and has less malt-sweetness than Oktoberfest style. This lager ferments well at a wide range of fermentation temperatures, thanks to the special "Tuborg" family yeast strain we use. Good results can be achieved fermenting at temperatures between 50 and 74 degrees, so a good comfortable room or basement is all you need.
